EXPERT program EC3 program is dedicated to performing code verification of steel element connections made of typical rolled section from the database or from welded section defined by user.
For a chosen connection type the user enters the geometry including type, number and distribution of connectors and the size and location of the connecting endplates. The user can also strengthen the connection, defining size and location of stiffeners.
The program allows entering the material and connector parameters both manually and using the databases provided in the program.
Connector verification for a given set of internal forces (N, M, V) is performed in accordance with the recommendations of the latest version of the Eurocode 3 (EN 1993-1-8).
Calculation results are presented in the form of a calculation note, which may be saved in RTF or PDF format and attached to the project documentation.
